EMBRACE Prenatal Care Study Recruitment & Retention Specialist

Dejah Darcuiel is a Recruitment & Retention Specialist with Fresno State's CVHPI EMBRACE Study. In 2019 she was able to use her voice and contribute to the study by sharing her own preterm birth experiences. Dejah then had the opportunity to join the EMBRACE team soon after the birth of her son, creating a fulfilling experience to help promote change for women who have had similar outcomes. 

Dejah has lived in Fresno all her life and now resides with her partner, their children. She is passionate about improving pregnancy outcomes for mothers and babies everywhere. 

“I always knew that I wanted to do something big and contribute more to those in our community to make changes for the better. I wasn’t sure where or even how to begin until becoming a part of the EMBRACE Study. And it has been life changing.” -Dejah
