Sohan Banerjee

Sohan Banerjee is a research assistant with the Central Valley Health Policy Institute. He is currently a third year at the University of California, Merced majoring in Public Health. Throughout his time as an undergraduate, Sohan has involved himself in public health research, voluntary clinical work, and leadership roles in pre-health pipeline programs. With CVHPI, Sohan works within the COVID-19 Equity Project to support community health workers as they provide resources/health education to those most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. As he continues in his education, Sohan hopes to pursue a career in medicine, where he aspires to work with underserved patient populations in the valley, as well as get involved in medical education to increase opportunities for local pre-health students. Outside of education and work, Sohan enjoys reading fiction, hiking, and playing video games
