College of Health and Human Services   Honors Scholars

chhs honors scholars

The CHHS Honors Scholars Program is designed to build collaboration skills and leadership. Students are introduced to the inter-disciplinary process in addressing health and human service needs, and are provided opportunities for advanced inter-professional studies. Honors scholars apply their learning in    culmination projects of interdisciplinary assessment and evaluation that address the needs of the Central Valley.

Doctor of Nursing Practice Leadership Fellows

DNP grads

Since 2012, the doctoral program has developed nurse leaders and future health care educators. Many of the students in the doctoral program are first-generation students who will remain in the Central Valley after graduation - and thus, meet the growing needs of our region. Each will perform 1,000 hours of clinical service and share their research to elevate the academic field.

Doctor of Physical Therapy Research and Clinical Fellows

Doctoral of Physical Therapy graduates

The Doctor of Physical Therapy program attracts exceptional students and prepares them to become leading professionals in this growing field. The Doctor of Physical Therapy degree is    required for an individual to   become a licensed physical   therapist. Fellows give back their time and expertise through research and clinical hours in local facilities and by sharing their research at conferences and symposia, locally and nationally.
