Central California Center for Health And Human Services

About Us

The Central California Center for Health and Human Services is deeply committed to, and engaged with, the people of our region. The center strives to improve the health and well-being of the community through a variety of programs - and by facilitating collaboration between Fresno State students, faculty, staff, and professionals from community organizations and agencies on some of the most challenging health and human services issues facing the Central Valley.

Since its inception in 1996, the center’s programs have attracted more than 32 million in external funding and it continues to be one of the most active research units at Fresno State. The center is home to a variety of community-serving institutes and programs, including the Central California Center for Excellence in Nursing, Central California Children’s Institute and the Central Valley Health Policy Institute.

The center boasts a strong team of interdisciplinary staff and faculty who are involved in research, technical assistance, training, and community engagement. Faculty and staff leverage resources that build on existing infrastructure to expand the reach of high priority health and human service needs for residents in Central California.
