The official launch of the Center for Digital and Technological Innovation at Fresno State kicked off during the Frontiers in AI and Digital Health Innovation Summit, which brought together researchers, industry partners and leaders in the field to discuss the future of healthcare in the digital landscape. Immersive VR Workshop for undergraduate students interested in health professions

Dr. Hajela conducted an Immersive VR workshop for students from Center for Access to Science for All (CASA) who are in the Health career pathway program - HCOP/HPPP program in College of Science and Mathematics. 

The title of her presentation was : Reimagining Healthcare Education:Immersive VR as a Catalyst for Experiential Learning. This was Immersive, hands-on learning experiences for students interested in health-related programs such as Physical Therapy, Nursing, Kinesiology, Public Health. Dr. Hajela provided hands-on learning using Neurorehab VR and showed students real world applications for VR as a physical therapy tool for patient populations such as Parkinson's Disease, gait and balance issues. She was then joined by Health sciences librarian Shuyi Liu who talked about VR related headsets and resources available in the library.
