Abstract: (In Application Process) To gather
interview data from Hmong parents in Fresno County concerning
beliefs about childhood injuries and prevention. Information to be
used to incorporate into qualitative dissertation about measurement
of health beliefs and childhood injury prevention behaviors in
Fresno area Hmong to target meaningful and cost-effective public
health intervention plans.

Abstract: (In Application Process) Audiorecording
and translation of Hmong concerns about childhood injury with
interdisciplinary exploration of general themes. Themes will be
added to dissertation about Hmong parent beliefs and childhood
injury prevention to focus on appropriately targeted and cost
effective injury prevention interventions. Grant is also requested
to provide minimal International Hmong Conference attendance for
poster presentation and communication with Hmong population in the
Midwest USA.

Abstract: To provide CDC guidelines related to
building structure for shading and prevention of skin cancer as
part of an overall project. Published in peer-reviewed Journal of
School Nursing. Presented at National, California State, Clovis and
Fresno school districts forums.

Abstract: To provide an annual conference focused
on the contemporary issues of childhood injury. First year
registration at Valley Children's Hospital and in-kind gifts
