Dr. Leslie Zarrinkhameh received both her Master’s in Physical Therapy and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA in 2000 and 2003, respectively. She added additional qualifications of Geriatric Clinical Specialist in 2011. Starting with her Master’s thesis, Fall Prevention and Successful Aging for older adults has been a professional passion and research area of interest and she has presented at local, national and international conferences on this topic. Additionally, Dr. Zarrinkhameh collaborates with Dr. Peggy Trueblood and other faculty in the College of Health and Human Services for research and community service relating to Fall Prevention and Successful Aging, as a co-investigator for numerous grants and as a content expert for several doctoral projects. With her new responsibilities as Director of Clinical Education, Dr. Zarrinkhameh has begun to collaborate with other Physical Therapy faculty on research surrounding student success, clinical education preparedness and mentoring.

Dr. Zarrinkhameh has been a lecturer at California State University, Fresno, Department of Physical Therapy since 2007, teaching across the curriculum in foundational courses, geriatrics, cardiopulmonary and neurological rehabilitation, as well as clinic preparation courses. Additionally, Dr. Zarrinkhameh is interested in the use of simulation as a teaching modality. In 2015, Dr. Zarrinkhameh added the role of Director of Clinical Education. Previously, Dr. Zarrinkhameh has had adjunct teaching appointments at Temple University and University of Oklahoma, Tulsa.

In addition to teaching and presenting at conferences, Dr. Zarrinkhameh has previously presented a CEU course in geriatrics, a lecture in geriatrics at Student Conclave and an educational session at the Educational Leadership Conference. Clinically, Dr. Zarrinkhameh focuses on Acute Care and Skilled Nursing.

Dr. Zarrinkhameh is married and enjoys traveling and spending time at the beach with her husband and son.
