Dr. Qiwei Li obtained his Ph.D. in the Health Services Research program at the Department of Rehabilitation and Health Services of the University of North Texas (UNT), Denton, TX. His research interests are health services, health outcomes, and health interventions for low-income communities and aging populations fall prevention for older adults, quality of life in later life, and successful aging. He has been working on community-based health promotion intervention for low-income community-dwelling older adults with disabilities (the CAPABLE program) in Baltimore, MD, where he did his post-doctoral training with Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing (JHUSON).
Dr. Li is also interested in the accessibility of health services for people with disabilities. Since his Ph.D. training, Dr. Li has published 15 peer-reviewed articles, five book chapters, one book review, and presented 21 conference presentations. Dr. Li has designed, taught, and lectured more than 15 courses and served over 400 students at both UNT and JHUSON.
