Dr. Qiwei Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health at California State University, Fresno. He received his PhD in Health Services Research with a concentration in gerontology from the University of North Texas and completed postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing.

Dr. Li’s research focuses on aging, transnational families, and caregiving, with particular attention to how immigration regimes, labor structures, and institutional constraints shape care practices and moral responsibilities across borders. Using qualitative and mixed-methods approaches, his work examines structural immobility, care circulation, and inequality in later life. Dr. Li is also interested in the accessibility of health services for people with disabilities. His research has appeared in journals across gerontology, health services, and social research.
