Dr. Marcus Crawford, MSW, is an assistant professor at California State University, Fresno in the Department of Social Work Education. His published work examines foster care and juvenile justice systems. He worked in the privatized child welfare system of Kansas for over a decade before pursuing his PhD and was a foster parent for many years. Dr. Crawford engages students in his research and works closely with them on their work. He is the chair of the research sequence and the chair of the human subjects committee for the DSWE.
