Elise Kramer Ayres began her career at Fresno State as a graduate assistant in Athletic Training (Sports Medicine). She later returned to Fresno State Athletics as an Associate Athletic Trainer before joining the Department of Kinesiology as a lecturer in 2013.

Throughout her athletic training career, Elise worked with collegiate athletes in football, volleyball, swimming, and basketball. Her work took her around the world and gave her the opportunity to support athletes in a variety of competitive environments. From responding to injuries on the sidelines to guiding athletes through rehabilitation and their return to competition, Elise developed a deep appreciation for the trust, teamwork, and resilience at the heart of athletic training.

Today, she brings those experiences into the classroom through practical examples, interactive learning, and mentorship. Elise is committed to creating a supportive environment where students can build confidence, strengthen their clinical decision-making skills, and prepare for meaningful careers.
