Dr. Susan Basile is an assistant professor in the Department of Kinesiology, specializing in biomechanics. Through her research with youth athletes, she hopes to optimize youth sports performance and prevent injuries through a combination of motion analysis and musculoskeletal simulation. A first-generation college student and native of Queens, New York, Dr. Basile has lived, studied, and taught in different parts of the world, including New Zealand, Saint Louis and Atlanta.

Outside of the classroom setting, she can be found participating in her favorite sports - basketball, running, and weightlifting, and playing the guitar.
