Dr. Christopher Ludwig is an assistant professor in the Department of Kinesiology’s
Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program. His passion for the field is
what fuels his many research interests, which include (but are not limited to) point
of care ultrasound, patient care and patient-related outcomes, emergent and acute
care of injuries and illness and primary care in athletic training, among others.
Ludwig presents regularly at local, regional and national symposiums on various professional
topics. Outside of the academic setting, Ludwig has been a certified athletic trainer
since 2005 and is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association,
where he serves as a mentor on their student leadership committee and was an ambassador
for their Research and Education Foundation.
Ludwig is a native of the Central Valley, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree
in kinesiology (sports medicine). In addition, he earned a master’s in kinesiology
(health science) from CSU, Fulerton and doctorate in education with an emphasis in
higher education and administration from the University of the Pacific, Stockton.
He also proudly received his associate’s degree in sports medicine from Modesto Junior
College.
