Scott Sailor is a product of Fresno State. He started there in the mid-eighties as
a student, later returned to join the staff as an athletic trainer and has held various
positions there for the last 25 years, including serving as chair.
Scott is also the co-founding executive director of the Central California Sports
Sciences Institute housed at Fresno State. He is a member of the Far West Athletic
Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame. Throughout his career, Scott has received several
teaching awards including the Fresno State Provost Award for Excellence in Teaching
with Technology.
Scott has served in athletic training leadership positions for several years. Along
with this other service, he has was previously elected to serve as the 13th President
of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
