Central California Training Academy
Specialized Training

At the Central California Training Academy (CCTA), we are dedicated to advancing the skills and professional development of the social services workforce through ongoing, high-quality learning opportunities. Our specialized training offerings are designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and professional capabilities of experienced practitioners, supporting excellence in service delivery and achieving positive outcomes for children and families. Continuing Education (CE) credits for LCSWs are available at no cost to county agencies or staff.
To ensure our trainings remain relevant and responsive, needs assessments are conducted annually with each county in the region. This collaborative process allows CCTA to align its training calendar with the current priorities, emerging trends, and evolving skill needs identified by county partners. Trainings are facilitated by expert trainers and subject matter specialists with experience in their respective areas.
As part of their ongoing professional responsibilities, child welfare staff are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours of professional and skill development training annually to sustain growth, strengthen their practice, and promote continuous improvement across the workforce.
