The Fresno State class of 1965 held their 40th reunion on October 22, 2005 at the Smittcamp Alumni House. Many funny and touching stories were shared about their time as students and the journeys they have taken since graduation. Pat DeFehr has organized this event every 5 years and they plan to meet again in 2010.

The Central California Nursing Hall of Fame at Fresno State honored four new members this fall at a ceremony on Sept. 14. The 2005 inductees were Dr. Judy Allender, Eleanor Stittich, Carolyn Tanaka, and Pilar DeLa Cruz-Reyes. The awards were given to recognize their lifetime contributions to nursing. This was a remarkable ceremony and reflected on their accomplishments in education, leadership, and military nursing.
It is clear that the central valley has a rich history of nursing excellence as other nominees included Doreta Annis, Judy Dorn, Cindy Collier, and Ruby Hennesy.

The School of Nursing's Alumni Chapter has been active in supporting students and
promoting the Department. Founded in 1995, it quickly became the largest chapter on
campus, serving over 2,400 graduates of the university's nursing program.
Advantages of membership include opportunities to attend continuing education courses, research conferences and social events connected with the department.
Members also are automatically enrolled as members of the Fresno State Alumni Association, and revenues from the chapter are used to help purchase new equipment and supplies for the nursing program. Additionally, the chapter has provided scholarships for nursing students.
The current officers include:
