The Silent Garden

Teacher signing to student

The Silent Garden

The Silent Garden, founded in 2008, is a bold and unique program within the College of Health and Human Services. It provides educational programs, workshops, conferences and resources to families, teachers, interpreters, professionals and college/university students who are raising and/or working with the D/deaf and hard of hearing community in the United States and beyond. Online technology has allowed us to expand beyond our original focus on the Central California region to reach interested professionals and families wherever they may live and work.

About Us

What started as a bold vision has grown into a rich and bountiful educational program that touches the lives of countless deaf and hard of hearing individuals through the education and training of families, professionals and college/university students. Scholarships and endowments ensure the program continues to grow.
