Sonia Mendoza is a research analyst at Central Valley Health Policy Institute (CVHPI). Sonia graduated in 2014 with a B.S. in Biology with an emphasis in Anatomy and Physiology from California State University, Fresno. During their undergraduate studies they were able to gain research experience in behavioral analysis and neurobiology. In 2016, Sonia joined CVHPI as an intern and then a research assistant from 2017-2019. Sonia has contributed numerous efforts in health policy research and has engaged with neighborhoods and communities in Fresno County. In addition to health policy research, they volunteer in free health clinics in the Valley and aspire to become a physician to improve the lives of residents in the Central Valley.
Sonia was born and raised in Fresno, California, and grew up in the Central Valley. They love their family, their faith, their dog, and improving the lives of residents in the Central Valley.
