The Silent Garden

FAQ

Why are there no registration fees for this event?

An anonymous donor has funded Scarlett's Park so that attendees do not have to pay registration fees.  The goal of this conference is to provide information and support without barriers to anyone.

Why are you having a conference specifically for children who are deaf and hard of hearing with special needs?

Children who are both D/HH and have special needs are a unique group.  Teachers and professionals work differently with these students than students who are only D/HH or only have special needs.  It is important for us to recognize this group and provide a space to discuss they ways in which these students can best receive education, services, and supports.

Can I volunteer at this event?

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Silent Garden Student Assistant, Maya Castellanos, at scarlettspark1@gmail.com.

How can I help support Scarlett's Park?

The best way for you to help us grow is to spread the word about our conference and what we are doing to support the deaf and hard of hearing community with special needs.  Share our flyer and invite people to attend our third annual conference on September 25 & 26, 2020.
