Prospective Students

The MPH Program only accepts students for the Fall semester and has an application deadline of March 1st every year. No formal action will be taken by the MPH on your application until all required materials have been submitted.

Applicants interested in admissions to the Master of Public Health Program at Fresno State need to complete the online application found at CalStateApply. All forms become available on November 1st. All materials must reach the Department of Public Health by March 1st of the following year in order to be considered for the Fall semester. 

*The Fall 2024 application will be available November 1st, 2023.


Application Requirements

  • Completed undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completed CalStateApply application.
  • GRE Scores - General test only.
  • Statement of interest
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation.

Program Prerequisites

  • Applicants must have obtained an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Applicants should have a 3.0 GPA. This is especially important on the last 60 units. To calculate this, click here.
  • Students must take the GRE general exam prior to submitting an application to the MPH program. 

*In some cases, students may be allowed to take these courses as co-requisites during the first year in the program.
